Nodes

The Pitt Shield Pattern, derived from the shield’s grid, is a versatile design element. Always use the provided files for consistency; do not recreate or modify the pattern.

Single nodes, or building blocks, from the Pitt shield grid can be used independently to highlight key information or add dynamic energy to a design. They work well as anchors for body copy without overpowering the layout.

Multi-node elements also can stand alone, anchoring headlines and adding structure. They can frame text or images, creating focus and visual balance. These adaptable elements can be placed in one, two, or all four corners, guiding the viewer's eye and enhancing the layout.
